You might remember a couple of weeks ago I wrote to you about some rides in Canberra. I was surprised so many people knew the routes so I thought you might be interested in a few more interstate rides.
Every now and then, you find a spot that makes you want to pack up the car, grab your bike, and just go. It might be a bit of a trek but Victoria’s High Country is a cyclist’s dream.
Here are a few rides down south worth the road trip:
- Bright to Beechworth – Rail trails, rivers, cafes, and that fresh mountain air.
- Mount Buffalo – A legendary climb for the brave (and the geared).
- Murray to Mountains Rail Trail – Over 100km of sealed track through farmland, vineyards, and alpine villages.

If you’ve been meaning to explore outside your usual loop, this one’s a no-brainer!
If you’ve already been, let me know your favourite spots.
Stay safe!
PS – If your bike needs a quick tune-up before the trip, swing by the shop – we’ll make sure it’s ready for the High Country.
