Helmet Safety

Does Your Helmet Fit You?

Before anything else, it’s important your helmet is the right size for your head shape. To make sure you get the right size, measure the circumference of your head with a cloth tape measure or string. Make sure you measure horizontally across your brow and above your ears.

Below is a handy sizing chart to help you find the right-sized helmet for your head measurement.

Once you’ve found a well-sized helmet, have a look at this video from the team at Global Cycling Network for 3 key tips to correctly fit your helmet to your head.

Helmet manufacturers generally recommend replacing your helmet every 3 years to maintain maximum safety. If you’re looking for a high-quality replacement, I recommend checking out the Bontrager Solstice Bike Helmet.
